Bryn Davies beat his race record, but narrowly lost his title to the Mukamuka Munter last weekend. The 29km trail race near Wellington follows the south coast round Cape Turakirae, over the south saddle of Mt Matthews to the Orongorongo River, and thence to the Catchpool Stream. Bryn was beaten by two minutes, by Tauranga's Chris Morrissey (2-47-40). Piret Klade's 2010 womens record however remained intact. See the terrain here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GE_P2W8Vv4
