Last saturday I saw a chap eat three oranges, a pack of Mint Slices, half a King Size Energy chocolate block and 2 foot of french roll while running up Marchant Spur to Alpha Hut...he didn't get a stitch, but the rest of his body shut down while his stomach went into overdrive. He's still crawling along the Dress Circle right now.

In that order? Surely you'd start with the French roll, both in terms of logical progression of courses, and getting rid of the most cumbersome thing first.

maybe if you can eat all that it doesnt really matter which order you does it in..

Actual menu progression was mint slices/oranges/french roll/chocolate and then a bag of raisins but I suspect that was due to the order of packing rather than any zen of cooking principles

Maybe it's to do with the digestion order and which nutritional qualities are required at each point during the time period... I mean the french roll would take ages to digest so he doesn't want to eat it first cos then he's not gonna get any of the benefits of all the other stuff.. hmm

Does multiple digestion occur serially or in parallel?
Anyway, Susie Wood who once was a member of OHV, won the 30-34yrs female category of the Xterra World Championship in Hawaii. The Xterra is an off-road triathlon. Wood now lives in Nelson.
