Congrats to you all!

Awesome to see Tane and Toby especially get out the chisel at the trials and engrave their names on the selectors sheets.

Give it heaps.

God of Nations at Thy feet,
In the bonds of love we meet,
Hear our voices, we entreat,
God defend our free land.
Guard Pacific's triple star
From the shafts of strife and war,
Make her praises heard afar,
God defend New Zealand.

E Ihow Atua,
O ng iwi mtou r
ta whakarangona;
Me aroha noa
Kia hua ko te pai;
Kia tau tM atawhai;
Manaakitia mai
Aotearoa

Men of every creed and race,
Gather here before Thy face,
Asking Thee to bless this place,
God defend our free land.
From dissension, envy, hate,
And corruption guard our state,
Make our country good and great,
God defend New Zealand.

Peace, not war, shall be our boast,
But, should foes assail our coast,
Make us then a mighty host,
God defend our free land.
Lord of battles in Thy might,
Put our enemies to flight,
Let our cause be just and right,
God defend New Zealand.

Let our love for Thee increase,
May Thy blessings never cease,
Give us plenty, give us peace,
God defend our free land.
From dishonour and from shame,
Guard our country's spotless name,
Crown her with immortal fame,
God defend New Zealand.

May our mountains ever be
Freedom's ramparts on the sea,
Make us faithful unto Thee,
God defend our free land.
Guide her in the nations' van,
Preaching love and truth to man,
Working out Thy glorious plan,
God defend New Zealand.

Tane and Michel should grow their hair incase one of the girls is injured for the relay. Not sure which one would look the nicest in a dress.
Great team!

Emily? Don't start trouble Paul.

Show Profile  Paul I Posted: 12 May 2011, 6:13 PM
Definately not wanting trouble.
I guess the nitty gritty could be a case of who needs to know but that won't stop the chattering classes wondering what the policy or contingency might be should the unthinkable happen.
Uninformed speculation or presumption can get pretty ugly!
Wouldn't want a repeat of last year would we

Spotted on World of O Essential Gear of the Stars, Thierry GG an All Black fan or is he just very good at infiltrating below enemy lines when doing his homework?
10.Control Description holder
From TopO. I have used quite many different models, but thats the one I am always using now. The base is rigid and the sweet never go in. As it is one of the last things I am looking before my start, I have written inside this quote from Graham Henry (All blacks) Excellence is an art reach by training. Excellence is not an act, but a habit

I will use this thread for updates, especially those little gems of info that don't make the official media.

The team is all well and sleeping. The manager is up early and itchy suffering from a series of wasp stings sustained during control collection duty. Yesterday we got in early on the middle model map using the nice new map to its best advantage before it tracks up.

The part of the map where no forestry had taken place was sublime. A vast slope facing the east riddled with tricky snaky gullies, changes in vegetation and rocks. Beautiful.

The best runnability on these maps seem to be in the gullies, expect to see runners linking up the gullies and tracks as much as possible. Maximum speed, minimum risk.

Our hotel is old and cool. Very close to the centre of Aix les Bains where the opening ceremony and sprint qual will take place, we have some mint bakeries and cafes just out the front door.

The team is now resplendent in our "NZ Choice Bro" orienteering Riki tshirts

Looking forward to it but know most will struggle as the standard is so ridiculously high these days.
