The australian bush rangers team has been named.

They should've picked Warren after his awesome form at Easter. Well according to him it was awesome.

Trembling in our gumboots indeed.

If you fellas don't give that half arse aussie mens outfit a hiding I'm going to have to get fit again.

And Tan and Rachel should dominate those women as long as Rachels AR "adventures" don't diminish her orienteering prowess.

And I agree Honcho - bring back Wazza. Maybe we should start a campaign.

Some interesting selections in their WOC team as well

also note "The Bushrangers is Australia’s development team for senior orienteers" (Bluett, 2006)

Yeah Waz was running well, the terrain suited him to, he's being running on it longer then i've been alive. Wily ol buggar.
Looking forward to races, when will the NZ team be decided so i know who we are gonna beat?

congratulations on a great weekend! it was awesome. a mix of everything, patches of technical, fast, thick and low vis, hilly et al!

some of the best and most fun orienteering since waitangi weekend.

The chasing start organisation was wierd yesterday and not like i've seen it done before. the first split in the afternoon was 12.30 (or 1.30) plus the time it took to get there. surely there's an easier way to do it, there seemed to be a crisis at the finish tent at times. but a great event.

Are there results from the entire weekend anywhere on the net?

Show Profile  addison Posted: 6 June 2006, 2:12 AM

Try the NW website!

Show Profile  SimonB Posted: 6 June 2006, 2:16 AM
that was fun!

Yeah it was an awesome weekend! Thanks heaps NW, it was obviously a massive effort to stage this event and you guys did great.

What interested me was the high numbers, and I have been trying to think about if it was the fact that there was due to:
- Lots of races in the weekend
- The weekend had a race at Waioneke
- It was held in Auckland (big orienteering population)
... and my conclusion is that it was probably a combination of everything! Does this mean we now will have 2races a day as the norm...
