Rachel's in really good form
Scoring shitloads of points for the storm
It's all that training in Sweden
(Orienteering's own Eden)
And sneaking Swedish men into her dorm

You'd think for an engineer
The concept of scale would be clear
But riding a really fast horse
Round Forne's "middle distance" course
Would still take me most of a year
(sorry Chris, couldn't resist one last dig, I'll leave it alone now!)

The weather at Craigmore was yuck
Except for well insulated ducks
I didn't go far
Should have stayed in the car
All day saying nothing but "for crying out loud, is this weather ever going to improve???"

There's a small piece in this morning's Press
Reporting that Rachel and Chris were the best
They're mentioned by name
So I guess that's called fame
But what sport? You'll just have to guess!

onemanfanclub: what an apt name
he's playing this poetry game
writing rhymes for one guy
not you, and not I
author/audience are one and the same.

I just read Nic's limericks and thought they were very good. (I'm allowed to write without rhyme seeing I started this thread).
It was cold here too but at least it was fine.

While Simon's away,
We can all play,
Making rhymes,
Playing chimes,
this one is so gay

Stuffing up on OCAD made Chris look like a diddle
Wouldnt have happend if he had had a bit of a fiddle
Perhaps he was blazed from smoking a bong
When setting the courses way too long
And the courses turned to multi instead of middle

If you thought these limericks were bad it got worse
When Jenni chipped in with free verse
About Swedish weather
And how we're so clever
But breaking the limerick thread makes me terse!

And now our thoughts start to lean
to the trials to chose the best team.
But some haven't made
an entry, or paid,
so they'll miss out the chance to be seen...

I think it is about time
To bring back the rhyme.
It started with the Cyclic Saga
Maybe when Neil had some lager
Not continuing it would be a crime

Whats this you say Simon?
Are we to renew the rhymin?
Will you all be takin the piss
from Brent or Jamie or young Chris?
Or is it too late, due drug squad, flying?

I believe the time has returned
To once again have each of our turns
To pick out our steed
Oh yes indeed
Maybe none of them are any good we shall learn

Jamie possesses an immense amount of back fluff
In fact his overall appearance is quite gruff
But when it's racing time
He's as quick to the line
As he is to quit when the going's tough!
