Whats the longest NZ elite classic course ever?
19.97km must be getting close

It's the longest I can remember. Bit of a bummer that the course planner couldn't find another 30m though!

Which brings another point, if nearly 20km is needed for a Long and the Middle is(has)to be run on 1:7500 scale, are these areas suitable and 'fair' for orienteering at our National Champs Level

Wonder how long the Merz took?
Awesome, can't wait to watch the pain for those not fit enough for the nationals.

Slight typo in the programme. Elite mens long is in fact only 13.97km. Start times are just being finalised, should be out either tonight or tomorrow

Another typo spotted. Sorry to all the elites running in the sprint, you wont have a legend on the map. Might be a bit hard without it but I think you will survive...

I bet that got a few people petrified, 14k seems so short now.

Who (apart from Thom obviously) is the favourite this year? Jamie in the sprint but will Darren, James or Rosco Pico take the Long?

I was looking forward to 20km, automatically had Jamie beat, his brain cant handle the thought of a long yet alone a long long
