Sweet thanks Nick.
Ok I am just in the process of writing a help page.
Currently I have written details about:
- how to post an event
- how to edit an event
- how to delete an event
- posting for every event
- what the fields mean and what you should put in each bit
- contacting the administrator
- history of the system
What else do you want? Let me know by the end of the week or else!

"-how to delete an event"
Can you delete an event after it is over, if you had a really crap run and want to pretend it never happened? (also handy for organisers after one of those races that would otherwise start a 5 page debate on maptalk) =)

We have had some great progression with the events database.
Announcing: Google Earth plugin feature.
All events that are now posted new, or if you edit an event you have the ability to now show where the map is on google earth. If you have defined this, then it will show up on the events listing.
Examples:
Check out all of the Red Kiwi's listings at http://www.maptalk.co.nz/events/default.cfm?c=Red%20Kiwis%20OC
Also the Royal Rogaine link for Neils rogaine at
http://www.maptalk.co.nz/events/event.cfm?e=1420
Then there is the help page that has been requested. This can now be found at www.maptalk.co.nz/events/help.cfm << this will have a link posted to it soon.
Please provide feedback to help make it a better resource.

I am aware of a slight bug at the moment where when you first login the map might not show up. Try the link again after logging in, it should work after that
Thanks guys

Sweet.
Every active club in the country now has its events posted on the events page. Thanks to Taranaki for coming onboard.
The bug about the map not popping up when you first login has been fixed.

Not at present Simon, but since you have brought it up perhaps we can do something like that. The only complication is that each event gets an "id" which is unique when they post the event. The id has no reflection as to the exact date of the event.

...just group the pages in order and write it so the button goes to the previous or next one, sheesh sounds simple to me
