Team GoLite has nearly overtaken Nike PowerBlast, and though the race was halted for approximately 25 minutes due to lightning, both teams are again racing for the finish.
Currently, both teams are on the final ropes section of the course. According to a Denver Post reporter who was on=-site at CP40, "Both teams looked rough. They might as well have been drunk."
On the portion ascent of the leg, a free-hanging ascent of the infamous rock spine Castleton, Nike topped out just as GoLite got on the ropes - a bunching never before seen in an expedition-length race.
The teams are approximately two hours from the finish, and will engage in the closest contest Primal Quest has ever seen.
1st Place $100,000
2nd Place $ 50,000

Discovery might have gone better if team-mate Rhys hadn't been told so many stories about the old Ratpak days that he couldn't look at Phil without breaking into uncontrollable fits of giggles...

Anyone know why Orion has had 21hours added on and dropped to 12th?

Don't worry worked it out. They missed 'Three Canyon'
Nike Beaver Creek had to wait 6 hours at the ropes while the Ropes Crew slept then had this time credited at the finish.

I initially thought the website was good. After much twiddling of thumbs I think it is too fancy for its own good. The leaderboard takes ages to load and even returning to the same page takes the same time. While the main page says 52 teams have finished, only 19 are shown as finished on the leaderboard, so it isn't just a matter of download speed. To coin a phrase, a (timely) word is worth a thousand pictures.

Good news for Orion, looks like they have been promoted back up to 8th. The adjustment has been adjusted back in their favour.
