radio doesnt seem to work thou, jenni and tania running

Show Profile  Greg Posted: 7 May 2006, 1:56 PM
Tania has just missed out on sprint final by 8sec (1 place) and Jenni by 47 sec.

Tania is pretty happy with her run. A couple of errors and hesitation cost her, but otherwise she's stoked with intensity and pressure that she's having to run amongst. By the end of today she'll have a couple of days in Estonia under her belt; that'll either translate into a bit of smoothness in her orienteering or a shit load of jetlag.

Jenni's done 36:59 in middle qual heat 3, about 6min off the pace. Should see Tania soon

hey the Clem

can you say hi to Marianne and Birte Riddervold for me-

a stu

Show Profile  The Clem Posted: 8 May 2006, 4:53 PM
Stu; Do I detect a story or something wishful?

Also, Tania qualified 12th in her heat. Splits on the 1st leg had her 2 mins down and 30/31 in her heat. Pulled it back somehow.
Her eye also had a small fight with a stick, the stick lost got stomped, pretty happy to run the middle final.

Apparently Tania was running around with Marianne Andersen (new Norwegian superstar) and Juliette in the qual. It must've been the Nog throwing sticks as Juliette isn't a French spy (as far as I know at least ;-) ).

Stu: Dave Melrose has one up on you there - he bought a fridge off them last year - almost certainly some seedy deal going on...!

just friends from days of yore...

well done Tan!

Well done Tania!

Unfortunately Jenni and Carsten both missed the middle final. Quite a few of the top men, among them Pasi Ikonen, Mats Haldin, David Schneider, Andrey Khramov, Marian Davidik, and Tore Sandvik also missed out on qualifying.

Tan 30th in final - top effort (harder to get high placings in EOC than WOC with 6 from each country rather than 3). Jenni 7th in B final.

Carsten won the B final; and a nice shot of the Jorgadamsens in the sprint photos, 3rd from the end. It looks like one of them is more interested in the camera than orienteering tho...

Both Tania and Jenni will make it into the Long Final. After the first radio Tania was over 6 mins down and out but ended only over 3 min behind winner of her heat.

Jenni may miss if she has the heat with 32 in it, and the last 4 to show up in the results beat her. Hope you make it Jenni - fingers and toes are crossed!

Show Profile  Marquita G Posted: 11 May 2006, 2:28 PM
I take that back - she will make it! Well done Tan and Jenni!
