Yeah, Lets make it a Sprint Relay in an urban setting. Isn't that is what is happening with WOC?
Good Spectator appeal. Easier for host club. Allows competitors to get away for those travelling.
Of course the traditionalists won't like it, but the next generation seem to love this Sprint-O stuff and they are the future of the sport.
For that matter, I reckon the relay at School championship level should be Sprint format.

there are just about as many M70's at QB3day as M21E, yet alone 50's and 60's.
And slight Segway QB3 is an event aimed at elite purposes. Where are they all?

For small clubs with no M/W21E but a reasonably healthy group of M/W 35/40/50 etc there isn't a lot of point in either of the relays as there isn't a valid option to compete with your peers.
I can see why people will enter the first three days and then go on holiday...
