who's in shorts of course

Show Profile  John Marshall Posted: 5 August 2006, 4:24 PM
"In shorts... shorts for Ross Morrison. I think he is the only one. So far."

Sounds like Per was leaving himself open at the end there for the likelihood of the rest of the NZers being in shorts too. Typical bloody New Zealanders! :-)

As a point of interest, not the first time he's commented on the shorts...last year at JWOC
"Ross Morrison...in shorts! short, short, shorts!"

I see that the Canadian men are now in the official results, but on the day they were shown as mp. Don't they stop the team if there is a mp? If so what if they later discover an electronic problem which means the mp didn't occur?

And a new best foot-o ranking for NZ: Tania moves to 35, with 3 of her best scores coming from Denmark. (The other from Japan, I guess they don't slide out of the picture until 12 months have elapsed.) Rachel maintains a position in the top 100 (87) while Jenni's long distance results help her to 135th.

Chris stays just inside 100 (97) with Darren on 121 and Karl 125 via two good scores from last week.

Others: Top Australians Hanny 7th Troy 88 if you don't count BJ 52; Carsten 53.

Congrats team! Now I get to catch up on a bit of sleep...

Looks like Hanny had the same splits as Simone Niggli, and gave her a bit of a hiding http://www.obasen.nu/winsplits/online/dk/default.asp?page=table&databaseId=6406&categoryId=37

A news item on the DOF website:
Roughly translated: This World Champs was the last for Carsten Jorgensen. On Thursday, him, Jenny and their little daughter wil
travel to NZ to take up permanent residence.
