Yip, Kate has made it in A-final the commentators have said.

Show Profile  Marquita G Posted: 2 July 2008, 1:30 PM
See Kate was 6 secs behind the Spanish girl in 21st at the prewarning. Must have had a good last few controls.

It is her amazing sprint finish. Shows it does count to have a good one!

Tom is actually in 19th now, because of Asa is a false time from testing the course. Might be touch and go to make it.

Jager down in 30th

All the women are finished now and it's a nervous wait for Tom - he thinks that he'll end up in 22nd or 23rd.

There is alot of variation in the runability of the forest with the last few legs being hard running and lots of logs on the ground. bitch of a finish chute, really steep downhill 20m

Tom will be out, Soren Bobach still to come to knock him out of top 20. Stink.

Hard luck boys.

Hopefully Jack can pull one out.

Lizzie and Kate through!!!!

Doesn't look like Tom will make it, probably finish about 25th, Jack still to come, he was last starter

Show Profile  ACW Posted: 2 July 2008, 1:51 PM
Looks like Jack has to post a best time by 2 minutes between Radio 1 and FInish to qualify

Show Profile  robbie Posted: 2 July 2008, 2:01 PM
Better than Australia. They only have one through. We have two
Well done ladies.

Any chance of writing up a few articles martin or someone via infonews?

Show Profile  Greg Posted: 2 July 2008, 2:09 PM
Yeah Australia is the measuring stick we should always base how good we have done by.

After the sprint results I was goint to suggest to the team they drop a few letters and transfer "close rivalry" rights to Austria. Best not suggest to any of the Austrians that you're going to give them "a hiding" though. Could lead to all sorts of misunderstandings.

Wednesday Middle Qualifier

Show Profile  Martin Posted: 3 July 2008, 3:48 PM
Middle Final today. Greta has had an awesome run to be sitting 2nd. Georgia and Tessa also to be in places 17 and 19 respectively.

Tom 27th in B final

Simon pulled out some good form, 5th in C final

Jack sprained his ankle at the bottom of the hill in the finish chute, made it to the end but has gone to hospital.

Attention now turns to the womens race and we wait with anticipation to see Kate Morrison charging down the finish chute, and later Lizzie Ingham holds the hopes of a nation.
