Show Profile  Martin Posted: 30 June 2008, 5:31 PM
Results from the event arena:
15 Lizzie 14.11.3
36 Greta 15.02.5
70 Kate 16.03.1
97 Tessa 17.25.8
105 Angela 19.33.9

more to come as the guys results are real slow to come up. Simon had a great run, Tom is dissappointed, had a hard time on the long leg and lost significant time in the latter part of the course.

Simon 14.38.9
Scott 16.07.7
Tom about 16.11
Jack 17.29.4

Places still being finanlised, Simon will be in top 40. Awesome run by Lizzie

Killer route choice by Lizzie on the long leg. 2nd fastest split and picked up 10 places. Which way did she go?

One of the Australians has done a ripper of a mistake, Laurina Neumann left her race top and number at their accommodation and was not allowed to start. Bet that wont happen to her again.

Fantastic effort Lizzie - just a handful of places behind some very big names - and well done Greta & Simon too. Slightly tighter times than we are used to when 20secs can mean 15 places!!

It's going to be a fast action packed morning (evening for you.. 11.30-1.30am) with it all over and decided by 10.30. Plenty of action to watch as our guys and girls do battle for the top 20...

Start times for the middle qual:
09.34 Tom
09.38 Scott
10.42 Simon
11.24 Jack

09.59 Georgia
10.01 Angela
10.07 Kate
10.33 Greta
10.47 Tessa
10.49 Lizzie

Dismal turnout of spectators, more Danes than Swedes! It's not living up to the dreams of 'the best jwoc ever'

Opening Ceremony

We went after dinner by bus to a huge amusement park, Liseberg.
Our JWOC passes gave free entry to the rides for a couple of hours.
Then the official opening and presentation of medals to the Sprint winners.

Tuesday Training

Trip by bus to some training at the Model Event. Team took it reasonably easy here this morning. Alas, disappointingly...I stayed to guard the gear, but some said it was real hard to contour around controls 43, 44, 46.

Wow - goes to show how hard out they are over there. I reckon good on the organisers sticking to their guns.
