like dominos, I hope no one falls

1st radio must be just under 1/2 way around, can you imagine what it must be like out there in the forest with less than a minute btween 24 odd runners. I wonder what the forks are like. Must be 12 in each pack

It's turning into a huge gap to "the rest", if the updates haven't gone to sleep. Unless the likes of Bulgaria, Spain and the NAmericans have been missed in the melee of the big pack they'll be disapointed to be effectively out of it already.

Would they have some loops in there somewhere to try and split things up ?

Either the dogs have got the second pack, or they've got the radio..

Anything on the audio?

Nothing working anywhere! I've gone to the text commentary, they don't seem to know anything more than us, but hopefully will get news from the spectator leg

Ross dropped back 3 mins so far. TDH keeping up with the leaders

Times longer than 40 mins unless its the Ukrainian lag effect again

Those red numbers on the RHS of the results page, they are real times? Or is the website just triggering my own computer's clock?

Show Profile  mick finn Posted: 25 August 2007, 1:48 PM
who knows, could be two splits making that 3 mins

WOC 2007
Relay
12:45:23 - Now approaching the finish, it is FIN and RUS together 3 controls out, then CZE 1.09 down UKR, 1.06 NOR in 5th.

12:44:30 - Pasi Ikonen and Tero Fohr run the other 2 legs for Finland. Over the years FIN has won only 1 gold, but 9 silvers in WOC men's relays.

12:43:28 - Mats haldin is a late replacement for Jarkko Huovila on first leg in the Finnish team.

12:41:51 - ISR and BEL through spec control 3.50 down on lead.

12:41:05 - Mats Haldin, FIN passed spec control in 38 minutes, 1 minute slower than planner's estimate.

12:40:26 - LTU nest 2.30 down, then BLR.

12:39:35 - SVK in 7th. All within 9 secs, at spec control, now a gap. Now AUS, EST, ITA then SWE, FRA, HUN and LAT, then GBR, next SWE in 11th, with a gap of 1.30 from the lead. Forking is for sure making its effect clear here. GBR 1.44 down. POL and DEN in 16th and 17th.

12:37:17 - Still no sign of runners, but we have info on screen now. FIN, UKR, NOR, RUS and SUI, CZE in lead at spec control.

12:33:59 - 2-3 minutes to first runners at spec control we think.

12:33:03 - 32 minutes' running now, it's actually 1.2 km from there ot the spec. control, i.e. about 5-6 minutes running today. So we're looking up the hill in case the radio isn't working. The last leg runner of the Khazakstan team in the women's relay goes past.
