Stage2 - Trek: Looks like both Aaron and Brent's teams are closing on the French leaders. Chris a bit behind off the water but making good progress into top 10

French holding their lead, Balance Vector (Aaron) still second with Orion (Brent) breathing down their necks. Nike (Chris) into top 5. Strong Kiwi navigators obviously making gains in the nighttime trek through scottish highlands. Merrell has come from 20something place into 10th.
The google earth/gps tracker is awesome

WHH have had a good night maintaining an appreciable lead throughout the nighttime trek. They've probably extended their lead in the last two hours. Will be getting light soon which will ease their approach along a sharp ridge to next CP.
Hard to tell precisely how close Orion and Balance Vector are to each other - obviously within the gps udate margin cos they seem to be leapfrogging each other

it's probably because the gps locations aren't updating frequently enough.

It was down from about 8:30am till about 5:30pm.
Looks like all the front runners have taken a sleep at the town just before the swim in Lock Ness. Orion, Vector and Nike are all there now with swedish team Bjurfors while race leaders Wilsa HellyHansen have just finished the Paddle across the Loch.
Best info so far, the rest of the coverage is crap, splits are not up until each transition and there is no indication of where the checkpoints are.
