The reason for the embargo on the Superseries sprint on 28 April can now be revealed. You'll get shot at. We will be instantly able to identify transgressors by the paint-marks on their persons... Details via the SS website event list, or via the WOA events calendar.

If its not on the Maptalk events website, then it does not exist

Isn't the maptalk calender the official NZOF calender...why would you look anywhere else?

Entries for the events on 28/29 April that do not exist are requested by Friday. Pre-entry is only for SS competitors, others can enter on the day.

Though the form has been there for a while this hasn't been publicised, but I would say that an email including the required information to James Scott would be fine - his email is on the web. Info about the terrain and mapping for the long distance event (OY) is there, and similar will be added about the sprints.

Whats the NZOF development fund grant going to if the event isn't being put on the maptalk events website?

Im confuzzled

Isn't it funny that even after the fact that numerous people have raised the fact its not on there, no-one has thought to add it or anything?

Not sure what the problem is, originally it was said that all WOA events would be posted once it becomes "offical NZOF" - which it now is. There were issues about being scared it wouldn't be there in the future, a contract has been signed to secure it.

Lets just hope some common sense prevails and it can actually become a nation-wide calendar instead of a NZ (minus a small minority of WOA clubs) calendar.

I checked the calender yesterday and it was on there...

A pathetic attempt at it...

3 events, one posting? Barely half the fields filled out.

... making a crap posting like that is just as bad as not posting at all.

Show Profile  Martin Posted: 18 April 2007, 3:50 PM
furthermore the 3 events are over 2 days, wouldn't at least 2 postings be obvious? the calendar is there for a reason, why the reluctance to use it?

I made the posting, thought the link to the website could have supplied the requested information

Ah, but you see Jamie, that means people still have to make all the effort of following links to get information.

Elite startlists for all 3 races appeared on the event site yesterday (if I'm still listed for the long on sunday you can ignore that - which might mean slight changes to times could occur). If you entered then you obviously know where to find them...
