Not too many Orienteers this year Mick. I see you came in 91st in the big race. Our President Paul Dalton was 2nd in the very much shorter Hooper Loop in which Bryn Davies won setting a race record. See the results at: http://autogprs.com/trusthouse.co.nz/sport/mountain/2007_results.htm

Yes well, 91st is a bit generous, I think the technical term is LAST! This being one of the few occasions where block letters should be used.

Thats a TOP effort Mick. :-)
Geez that race has lost a few numbers since they changed the course...and all so Neil will never be a member of the sub 60 club!

They didn't just change the course. They doubled the entry fee.

Yes, though I'm expecting to be paid for being tailend charlie, and they did have a spot prize for almost every entrant - Bryn and Piret won one (but weren't there to claim) and Paul D was probably the only person there NOT to win one. Well run with a post race bbq, but yeah I would enter those sort of things every month if they were half the price, but I have 28 children from 16 wives to support.

16 wives. No wonder you were 91st.

You're in good company there Mick. I once came last in that race.
