Scamander isn't far from St Helens is it? Are there orienteering areas affected by the bushfires in Tas? What about Victoria?

No O maps in Tasmania or Victoria affected as far as I know. The area of the Tasmanian fires is south of where all the maps are, and moving further away. (Scamander is about 20km south of St. Helens, and a fair number of people stayed there last time). The Victorian fires are all in the east of the state, where there are no maps apart from the alpine areas formerly used for the High-O, which got burnt out in 2003.
Biggest concern of the current fires from the O point of view is probably the fire near Tumut (NSW). If it keeps going in in its current direction it could potentially pose a threat to next year's Oceania Champs area, although it's still at least 50km away.
A small map near Molong (which was going to be used for one day of the 5-days) was burnt out a couple of weeks ago.

If I recall correctly two days are now being run on one map - can't remember which one.
