Looks like some live coverage of the trial races which are on tomorrow morning.

Should be a fast hit out for the NZ team members.

Live video feed seems to be working. Fascinating watching organisers put up a finish banner. Quite riveting really. Can hardly wait until they move onto a finish chute or something.

Wow i didnt even know they were trying that today!
well im not sure if you will see all the NZ'ers today because we are doing a different race to the danes
something along the lines..that the danes couldnt do a sprint race at the university because some trialists go to school there. so they have the rest of us still racing there, but the danes are now racing about 2hours drive away. and i think that ross and jenni are racing with the danes............
but me, tania, karl and lara will be there
this is gonna be fun!!

It seems that a few of the boys were going too fast for the radio at the 3rd check and finish. What were the results? and for the benefit of the fans back home which NZ code name belongs to who?

There's results at http://www.woc2006.dk/test1507-result.html
The team had fun, Tania mentioned a bit of trouble figuring out what greens were allowed to be run that cost time, but it's all sorted now and definitely good training. Ross and Jenni were running the Denmark WOC team trials. Haven't seen those results yet.

Yeah, feedback from the team about the Sprint. Seems the different green areas and even some out of bounds, were subjective during the sprint. Kiwis basically went around almost everything and enjoyed the event. For whatever reasons, many others ran as they saw best, irrespective of colour at times. The team's not fussed, as they sought explanation at the finish and were assured clarity for WOC.

It was fun today. Word is that it was probably a bit easier than the real thing will be. Tan was flying and says they aint's seen nothing
yet as she can go faster still. La said she was scrappy but
no big mistakes. The boys talked about being a bit tired and making
mistakes but it didn't look too bad. I felt a bit coldy but was mostly thinking about Carsten's run and was relieved that the cold that he'd been complaing about all week didn't affect him at all and he won by a minute and a half. Phew! It was feeling like very bad timing when he had a massive sore throat last weekend and hasn't been able to sleep more than 5 hours most nights for coughing for a couple of hours. But luckily it seeemd to just be his body making him have a rest.

haha i bet karl in a sprint race (first time ever i think??)
and i did a better km rate than ross!!! but its okay, im still fat and slow, cos they both kicked my butt by 2min in the middle.
had the long today, mother f####'n long and hard, heaps of top orienteers didnt finish. i.e. carsten, pasi, troy, dave shep..........but ross and i did, so that makes us better than them right????????? (karls just a pussy, he gave up after 2 controls)
and of course all the tough nz chicks finished! yay tan, la and jen.

Nice solid training run!
only 100mins longer than I did yesterday and 137mins more than Bryn managed. Are there any maps of the test races on the internet?
