"January have an international event (if someone can be found to organise it) or hold some training camps (junior, senior, vets) or do nothing, call it a mid season break." - Darren
Sounds like there are no events this coming January, is there any interest in a week of low key / informal events or training. Something along the lines of the Elite Series that was organised (quite a few years ago). Would be great to have a Volcanic Traverse again!
Any suggestions? Or prefer to "do nothing"?

Im keen, even if its just a week of hard core physical training running through mountains or something? Without an appointed NOS coach guess the only way we have a training camp is if we organise it ourselves! So which NOS members would like a training camp over summer? would you be keen for an O-training camp or Physical training camp? week long or a 4-5 day weekend? preferences on location? I reckon that the central plateau would be wicked......
Is there going to be a D-Squad camp over summer Neil?

I'm planning on doing a bit of cycle racing over summer, so probably wouldn't be interested, but you never know.

Yeah, I like the sound of a physical training camp in the Central Plateau. And doing some cycling as well as running too.

Yeah im keen for something. Be cool to go somewhere different like Golden Bay. Heaps of mint beaches and campsites scattered around the place. Brent was scheming a Great Barrier mission last time we shared a beer.
Once schools out for summer ill be trying to be a professional athlete

Jamie, you could have another go at finding that GBI kokako!
(if on the other hand, you found any at Golden Bay, you'd probably just get branded a trouble-maker...)
