Te Aroha Mountain race

Great to see orienteering guru veteran Phil Wood back in fine nick cleaning up (just) at the Te Aroha Mountain race, 10 minutes better than his last years time but still just short of his race record (I think).

Watch out for this man at the Oceania champs.

Yeah, wicked effort Phil. I reckon that might be the new record. He did 1.00.26 this year and 1.00.56 in 2001. Nobody else has come close to that time.

The course was shortened last year, it now starts and finishes by the bowling green. Still a wicked time (under 18 mins downhill) and he said under 60 is do-able
