Show Profile  Jamie Posted: 28 September 2004, 4:38 AM
Hey any of you dudes over in Australia checking Maptalk??

How is it going? The only results up on the web currently are from the warm-up event, interesting results include PC "speed" Edwards defeating the in form Neil Kerrison and the talented Mr Dravitski. Greg Flynn also lost out to Marquita and Hanny Allston

Good luck to you all.

The guys easily won the test match and the women deadheated. Eric 93 Chris 96 Rob J 98 Julian Dent 100 Darren 102 Neil 102 Karl 106 Brent 111 James 129 (been crook). Jo , Nicky, Tash, Tracey were 71 to 75 Tania 77 Hanney 84 Claire 85 Marquita 86 Amber 94 Rebecca 95 Penny 95 Emily Wall 100 . The men were superb and other than the occasional good run and placing by Rob J or Greg B, we have never had anything like 4 in the top 6

Can someone post the schools champs indiv results once they finish today?

Awesome dudes keep it up. Do it kiwi style

Show Profile  ericm Posted: 28 September 2004, 11:18 AM
Kiwis kicked us again. 1st, 3rd and 4th in the mens. Didn't write any results down but from recall...

Karl 37
me 38
chris 39
then a bit of a pack darren, warren, bruce, neil et al around 41-42.

Karl, Chris and I were all running similar speeds but Karl missed nothing and Chris and I made a few small errors. Weather was stinking hot.

Nicki won the girls, Tracy second. Tania was best Kiwi maybe 4th or so.

Not so fast Rob C! The event has not been run yet.

I can't cut and paste the media releases but if you go to sportsweb.co.nz you'll see the results from yesterday. In summary the schools team bounceed back in the relay to win the Southern Cross challenge while our elite men had a clean sweep to put us in an almost unbeatable position in the test.

Awesome result guys...a big step for NZ elite orienteering.

NZOF/Important people: Perhaps Australias "test team" should be their best available team not their B team - lets make it real!

Show Profile  Tim Posted: 1 October 2004, 4:55 AM
Or perhaps New Zealand should be sending their B team to increase the depth of the elite field with in the country.

Show Profile  addison Posted: 1 October 2004, 8:14 AM
But the most important thing is, who won the schools van decorating competition?

But mint results all round.

Show Profile  Dave Mcc Posted: 1 October 2004, 8:38 AM
Kick Arse results and fingers crossed ay simon about the Van comp. Can we defend the title.

In other news Andrew has broken his leg again but this time its the other one from 2 and a half years ago. Somethign about his Tibia or some other medical term. He is a little gutted but what do you expect. Medical report mentions something about possibly a pin or a plate or two but info real sketchy at the moment.
