from the latest O Sport magazine:
"Silva shuts down its orienteering department
World leader in O-compasses and equipment, Silva will shut down its orienteering department in August. Five persons will lose their job as the company is forced to cut costs. According to managing director Lars Gullikson, these changes will not affect Silva's products.
Knut Nord, who was responsible for development, and one of the five fired, doubts Silva will manage to keep up its position, as orienteering now becomes just part of its larger "outdoors" division"
