Jukola 2004 in a Finnish team. Interested?

Kalle Posted: 2 April 2004, 10:55 AM   Hi all ! We are looking for 2 international members to run in either our 1st or 2nd team in Jukola 2004. The team is HukkaSuunta (translated as Lost Bearings) and we are an official Orienteering team in Finland and we also focus on Rogaining and Multisports/AR. As our name indicates, we do believe that all of this shouldn't be taken too seriously even though we always aim for the best possible result. This will be the eight year in a row that we have at least one team in Jukola and for one of the members it will be his 15th Jukola. The best leg result we've had is 253rd on last years opening leg. The best overall team position is somewhere around 500. We decided to keep a couple of spots open for some international participants as we believe that there are individuals out there who might have everything else except the team sorted and we are always up for some cultural exchange. Depending on your background (skills and speed) you can either be in the first or second team. We can offer accomodation before and after the event around Helsinki and of course transport to and tent accomodation at the event center.
