Hey does anyone know any of the results from aussie??
How have our guys done so far?
Is there a website or anything with results?

Show Profile  superOman Posted: 28 September 2003, 1:28 PM
Well, the website seems static, only with entry details, but Michael Wood phoned me last night and said:

in the classic, on sat, NZ didnt win a grade.
Michael Wood, 6th M55, Richard Glover 17th M18,
Only told me HV results though.
Ill keep u posted

I heard via a phone call that in the Classic only standout NZ performance was Simon Jager (M14 or 16) winning convincingly.

ACW and Rachel were the solid elite performers with Natasha Key and Rob Walter about ten minutes in front of our Kiwis. Carsten may have come second? The other mens elites struggled. Greg sick and DNSing. James DNFing and Rob J about 10 back from ACW.

Sounds like Claire did well just beating a fast Lara.

In the relay we won 4 grades. Rob Garden's team beat the aussies by 35 minutes after losing the classic by 25!

Neil, some quick results from sat from what I can remember

M21E
Rob 90
Carsten 90
me 93
Ian Meyer 95
Bruce Arthur 96
Blair 97
ACW was best of your guys. Rob's been injured (dodgy knee) but still managed to beat us all. Greg has broken a bone in his hand.

W21
tash 66
Jo 70
Al 72
Sorry I couldn't help much with the Kiwi places.

NZ was, as you commented better in the Relays. Rob J ran quite well but the two 21 teams were still a bit behind.

See you in Auckland in 2 weeks when you can try and turn the tables on the Aussie Bushrangers

Hey awesome results, this seems pretty much the same format that was used for the 'southern cross challenge' back in the 90's. Good on all those involved for pulling off a win again

The Secondary Schools team got back last night, kicked ass in EVERYTHING, from bus decorating to the actual races. Ask anyone who was over in aus - the bus rocked. Competing against the individual states, the team competition was close, the overnight one point lead was upheld. Southern Cross Junior Challenge won outright.

The reward was a huge tray full of sweets/chocolate/eatable stuff - courtesy of the scavanger hunt organisers. Thats probably why we all ran so slow yesterday.
