Suggestion: Next nationals (or big event). everyone go to Pizza Hut, all u can eat. Weigh in before eating. Weigh in after. Winner is most net weight gained. Perhaps the Offical NZ Orienteering Weight Gain Competition. Box of piss for winner.

I'd like to stake my claim for retrospective awarding of the initial wight gain champion (altho Dave Barr might beat me)
93kgs after a bout of food poisoning - but I think my goal of 100kg is proving too tough, the last few have been hell of a hard to put on... i need that box of piss

What was your weight when you were a trimed athlete?
Next question - How could you let that happen to yourself?

its easy greg, and damn it feels good. and fat boys can still beat whippets in park races!
altogether now;
i love pies and i love beer
anything green fills me with fear
give me chocolate, give me chips
trickle vodka twixt my lips
fill my bowl with olive oil
my finish split it will not spoil
i really love to stuff my face
then bottle out of a classic race.

Then please explain how your country's shot-put & discus records are way further than the best by Val Adams & Beatrice Faumuina...

Steroids.
Greg, my weight when fit and competing was about 72kgs. As for how it happened, it is a simple metabolic equation of calorie intake less calorie expenditure. Reduce expenditure without appropriate compensation of intake and voila - teletubby.
Luckily I don't drink a lot of alcohol (anymore).
