Hi Maptalk! Introducing http://omap.nz - a giant, auto-generated orienteering map of New Zealand a group of orienteers are currently creating. So far the majority of the Wellington and Auckland regions have been processed, along with small additional areas throughout the country. Any feedback or questions welcome!

Looking forward to watching this evolve. Incidentally, if anyone uses this as a prospecting tool, don't read too much into the vegetation mapping when deciding whether to check out a forested area or not, especially if it's a native canopy. I've had a little look at a few places I've spent a fair bit of time off-track over the years and found a fair bit of white that I'd remember as green and vice versa. I suspect the algorithms that's based on perform better in less complex forest types.
