South Island Secondary Schools Champs 2018

fraser Posted: 28 March 2018, 12:24 PM   Entries are now open for this event being held 23 and 24 April in Wanaka and Queenstown. These are public events open for everyone to enter. The events also incorporate the South Island Secondary School Champs 2018. Website for entry form and more details: https://www.orienteering.co.nz/siss2018/ The Wanaka event is on private land consisting of low kānuka shrubland with rock and contour detail. This is a brand new map on excellent orienteering terrain with awesome views of Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains. An event not to be missed! The Queenstown event will be a Chris Forne special with a sprint in detailed terrain, followed closely by a short relay for the Schools Champs and a mass start for the public event. Once again we have to limit the event to 200 people to avoid needing a resource consent with the Queenstown Lakes District Council, so enter soon before it is too late.
