Awesome second place in the sprint for Tommy, congratulations!
Olli Ojanaho who won the sprint has now won five gold medals and two silver medals at JWOC, a rather impressive medal haul.

Tommy's result was incredible. Did anyone figure out why he relinquished the lead mid race and changed his mind on a route?

Don't know for sure, but that was straight after the map change. Commentators suggest he probably ran for control 20 instead of control 14 which added about 15-20 seconds extra to his time and let the other 2 catch up. We didn't get to see the actual maps they used.
