Winter Classic 2016

Includes the traditional long distance Classic courses, Wayne Cretney Memorial and a 3 hour Rogaine. Also includes normal courses entry on the day - red, orange, yellow and white courses. Details on website: www.winterclassic.co.nz Date of Event: 4th September Closing Date for Classic/Rogaine courses: 27th August Event Location: Mackay's Crossing, Queen Elizabeth Park, Paekakariki. Detailed coastal sand dunes - map extended into new areas. This year's theme: Eternal Flame - so called in memory of the last 30 years where we have kept our memory for dear departed orienteers burning and kept the winter classic tradition alive , and the meaning of a local landmark - "The name Te Ramaroa translates to 'the eternal flame' and relates to the mountain that guided the great navigator Kupe into the Hokianga harbour."
