Was pretty great being there! There were 6 kiwis represented at Oringen this year. There was the NWOC contingent of myself, Rob, Marquita, Gene and Renee, and also Lara Malloy who has been on an exchange in Sweden for almost a year now.

The terrain and maps were sensational, with good variety and each day offering different challenges. The experience wasoutrageous, and this year the weather was at its very best!

Gene has written a blog about how our battle went down, Rob miss punched on one day sadly, and Marquita fought valiantly to finish 20th overall. Renee demonstrated her developing O-talent, with a very tidy 36th position in a tight D21 Lång class.

Oringen, in my opinion, is the pinnacle of orienteering in Europe. I encourage everyone to experience this at some point in their life, especially those Juniors next year (if timing suits).

Mine to come...
