Orienteering in New Zealand between Nov 15th and Dec 12?

fhanzen Posted: 29 October 2013, 11:13 AM   Hi, I'm an orienteer from Belgium, coming to New-Zealand between November 15th and December 12th. We will rent a car in Auckland and leave it in Christchurch before we go back to Belgium. In the meantime, we will have some tours a bit everywhere on both islands. Are they any interesting foot orienteering events organized during this period? Or is it possible to get interesting maps (to buy? lend?) to do some orienteering on the way? I already had a look at the permanent courses but most of them seem to be in parks. Many thanks in advance for your help!
