You might want to check out the following website:
http://bteahan.www1.dotnetplayground.com/Orienteering/
It contains the current ranking list just published after the Auckland champs.
The Auckland champs are included as well.
Enjoy. Your comments are appreciated.
(The website is not completed yet. More great statistics will be added. )
Cheers,
Bryan

Very impressive database Bryan - the name search is a great way to remember what used to be - it goes back to when I orienteered!!! What a history?!
Fantastic

Who is the DNF/DNS king??
Research to date indicates the following results:

In my defence.
Of my three DNF's in 98 races, the controller (Rob J) of the Auckland champs 2001 told me that I had been cleared of any wrong doing and that I would be reinstated in the Short O results. This did not happen, and it is only now that I realise that Rob J was just trying to beat me in the ranking list.
Also I submit that to DNS a seven race carvnival (because of a broken arm) should count as a DNS of just one event.

wierd!!! I feel violated, I can't even remember doing half those events, what a wicked site...I'm never DNFing again.
pity about the lack of South Island events, although I imagine this is the organisers fault.
the rankings all look pretty good as well, especially aaron prince right where he deserves to be just in front of Michael Adams, with five back to Neil "the real deal" Kerrison

Jamie... you have the distinct honour of being in the database twice, under Jamie AND James Stewart.
Congratulations on the 100 posts by the way!

Will try to put in fastest km rates soon and maybe a Hall of Infamy.
As my computer is dead at the moment this may take a few weeks.
A known problem with the database is aliases and different versions of the same
name. (eg Philip, Phillip, James, Jamie). I try to clean them up as I see them (I've written some software to show them) but some are hard to spot. I suggest making sure
you enter the same name for each event and if the organisers spell it wrong, ask them
to fix it.
Cheers,
Bryan

I have updated the site.
Site now includes:
- NZ Elite winners
- NZOF Awards
- Km Rate Menu (including top 100 fastest Men/Women, Top 100 Men/Women
with course distance longer than 5km, a name search so you can find your
fastest km rates, an event search, and a class search.
