NZ Secondary Schools Orienteering Team 2012

Tasmania has a history of success in the junior ranks, so I wouldn't put too much down to home advantage.

Shall we just carry this thread on to the Oz Champs? Congrats Lizzie and Tim for placings in the elite classes in the sprint. The pic of the granite beach on the website looks tantalising, Nick and me want to see the MAP!

Are you saying that no-one beat the time in M21E? Do you mean the estimated winning time or what? You don't mean Tim???

Incredible run Tim, well done!

Relay, no surprises there. M16, W16, M20. Even a win in the mid age category. But don't get complacent!

Could we (eventually) up our game even further by participating in the Southern Cross Challenge as two or three NZ "states" - based on islands or the superseries regions?

At least start sending a B team.

NZers are at the schools event by invitation at the moment ... our 16-man team is included in the school's camp group etc. so everything is taken care of. I for one are pleased our team is helped like that. Doesn't mean extras can't go and enjoy the event too as a B-team every so often. Quite a few NZ parents are saying we should send more to the Aussie Champs ... this topic should be included in the upcoming Strategic plan discussions.
