Tim is phenomenal for a 16 year old and must be the worlds best for his age

Lizzie carrying on from last years brilliant woc form with 9th, one placing better than Katie fettes 10th in 1991 which was nz's previous best

Superb results for Lizzie and Greta - and all credit to Ross and Tim for making the final in a very strong field. Katie's result 20 years ago was big, but Lizzie's is on a whole new level (both winning her heat and finishing 9th in the final) - the competition is so much tougher now.

^^ correction; Tim is the Boyman.
Nic's jwoc relay run was also phenomenal.
Wow what a special team of lads two years in a row.
Looking forward to next jwoc already!

Long distance quals tonight, NZ time start times:
Greta 2308
Lizzie 2335
Amber 0002

Tom 2310
Tane 2340
Toby 0049
(last start 0055)

Cumulative tiredness is starting to creep in amongst the NZ-based supporters camp, not helped by the Swiss inconveniently programming the rest of the WOC races in the afternoons. Paul it might be all up to you to cheer them on down the internet pipes tonight.

Wish I was super human! Been thinking of changing my name to Matthias or Matt, maybe that would help.
Please someone spoil the Swiss party if it's possible(even without Daniel Hubmann).
Best of luck to the kiwis for accurate and strong runs. There is no doubt this will be a tough Qual race.
