Great win to lizzie backing up her WOC performances, but what a result for Nick Hann, 4th in M21E in the most foreign and tricky terrain and he's only a school boy. Wow, what potential.
Also great to see 2 other juniors, Duncan and Matt in the top 10, but I do wonder why all 3 were not in the M20 grade.

And not forgetting Laura Robertson's 5th in W21E, as well as Kate Morrison in the top 10.

Pity the photos (above) can't be accessed now ... there may be more after today's schools event.

Rob, the boys (Nick, Matt and Dunc) are running elites because they are in the Pinestars. They will also be running elites for the sprint on Friday and long on Saturday (both of which are ANZ test races)

Phillip has found a novel way to get the results for schools to us fast...see the final results are hanging on the wooden boards! And use the onscreen magnifying glass to read them better.
If I have read them right the results are:
Senior Girls
Selena M. 2nd
Renee B. 8th
Cosette S. 9th
Rebecca G. 20th
Senior Boys
Nick Hann 4th
Alistair R. 5th
Tim R. 9th
Eugene C. 20th
Junior Girls
Brianna M. 3rd
Vida Fox 4th
Hannah S. 6th
Stephanie H. 11th
Junior Boys
Callum H. 2nd
Ed Cory-W. 5th
Shamus M. 6th
Joshua C. 25th
That sets us up well for tomorrows relays I think. Good luck guys!

Thanks Jane!
Based on that, I think both the Junior Boys and Girls won, while the Seniors were second (boys to ACT, girls to QLD)

Well done everyone.
Hey, just wondering how Orienteering Australia managed to be allowed to hold a WRE middle on a 1:7500 scale map? That was the scale of the map they put on route gadget, or was it made to 1:10000 for the elites?

1:10000 for elites.
Can anyone tell me if the relay orders on the oceania website are final? Apart from the ME grade, the nz teams look suspiciously like the running order has been picked alphabetically by surname...surely not the best way to select it?!

Use
https://picasaweb.google.com/114218269315884019204
to get photos of NZ School teams finishing the relays @ Aussie Schools Champs (choose 5th Oct album).
(I guess mainly proud parents will want to look at these. They are good photos and make you wish you'd been there).
