Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Things are rolling along (no pun intended) with events and everyone is keen for the exercise and fresh air. Slowly, slowly we will start to function again. The biggest problem is checking over the affected maps and getting person-power to plan/control and organise. Folk have different priorities at the moment.

Mapping-wise I'm not keen on being in the hills alone and standing under cliffs to map them so my biggest project is off-limits for a while. Meantime we need to try and get Bottle Lake up and viable again - Michael is there any way to convert it to NZTM easily? Just a thought.

Yes, its just a change in the offset values. Will send details. What has changed there (new landfill excepted)?

Disasters in general. Norway, a country with the same population as NZ. And with such a beautiful landscape and friendly people. Just like us, "it couldn't happen here".

Went for a ride in Bottle Lake today but was hampered by snow still on ground, ice where it had part melted and lots of branches down across the tracks. Large area now fenced off. Very large area in fact. What a shame but still worth fixing the map.
