Lactic Turkey Trail Running Extravaganza!

Lactic Turkey Events introduces a new event to the trail running calendar on 7th August 2010.

Delving back to its roots of running forest fun run's in the 90's, Lactic Turkey Events are going back to basics with a low cost, casual atmosphere, packed with lots of fun event.

The event is based in Riverhead forest.

A fun event for the whole family/social club/class/sports team/trail running group, we are offering three course options:
- a short 4km course suitable for first-time trail runners/walkers and kids.
- a medium 9km course ideal for runners with a wee bit of trail running experience
- a long 15km course not for runners with a heart condition

This event offers a number of special features:
" A friendly and fun atmosphere
" Superbly marked fantastic courses
" A non-judgemental environment  so feel free to wear that 80s fluro lycra! In fact, well have a prize for the best retro outfit!!

And why not make a weekend for it  travel up to the big smoke for the weekend as we also have one of our famous Lactic Turkey Rogaines the next day at the same venue. The 3 hour Rogaine (team navigation challenge) is for teams of 2-5 people, starts at 10am and involves easy navigation. Maps are provided so you just need to bring a team along for a fun morning in the forest!

I like the retro font - is that on the web somewhere or do you actually have a typewriter with worn-out keys?
