Live coverage starts at midnight nz time and 2am maptalk time - I'll have a look at it tomorrow - it's a bit late for me.

There should also be live coverage of TioMila (will have to pay for the tv streaming) - which should be at a perfect time for kiwis if you happen to have time available on Sunday (when the high pressure comes in and gives us a beautiful day)

U keeping up with the svensk commentary paul?

Show Profile  Paul I Posted: 1 May 2010, 2:01 AM
ja, gps tracking doesn't fit the map.

those poms are consistantly so good ey

Haven't watched live tracking for a sprint but not surprised its useless - signals will be dodgy round buildings and errors magnified by the large scale.

Some of those experiments that Jagge reports (on Attackpoint) are durban and seem to be better but I've never managed to catch one of them while its actually occurring.

I meant to say "urban"

chris did well to catch up time after loosing a minute on the first half, really quick last 2 mins. Martin also better 2nd half.

wow here comes chris's team mate Öystein Kvaal Österbö, back to his old sprint form?

Show Profile  Paul I Posted: 1 May 2010, 2:23 AM
daniel hubmann and simone niggli still rule, amazing.

Did I hear a couple English words just then? "... 26 seconds..."

But yeah the playing field is a bit more level in urban sprints.

Is that Daniel describing his race now? Sprints more fun than interval training, I like that:-))

What do you think of that womens course, the crossovers seem like they might have generated a lot of in-out.

...zzzzzzz

Just reading the paper about last Sunday's helicopter tragedy. We (a sport ie something pretty frivolous) can track orienteers positions to 20-30m and stick it on the web in real time (just for our entertainment). Wonder if the air force (designed for deadly serious warfare) routinely tracks its expensive aircraft, for post-event analysis and training?
