To answer Greg's question we post here to fill in time between the various viewing options working or not working.

Anyone else about? Got here just in time for the first splits to come in...

I don't want to get too excited because it could be some sort of timing glitch but it appears that ROSS IS LEADING BY 4 MINUTES AT THE LAST SPLIT

woah more info please

Right, just a glitch, just 1 minute behind the lead, much less to get excited about =)

Dont know if this has already been covered - How big are the GPS units and where are they wearing them?

Show Profile  onemanfanclub Posted: 19 July 2009, 11:31 AM
Sweden, Russia first to changeover, Norway 20 secs behind. NZ 9th +1:29. Believe it's Lizzie next.

Nobody talking picks for the win? My money would be on Sweden (and I haven't just decided that now)

Show Profile  mick finn Posted: 19 July 2009, 11:32 AM
Russia I reckon, but then the women may be the crucial legs so Sweden might have the edge there

Rog, I'm probably a few tech evolutionary steps behind but last I knew the units were about "mobile-phone size" and worn within an apron-style race number. Though from waht little video I've managed to see, the race numbers used here are smaller

About thermometer size I believe

can go anywhere

which raises ALL SORTS of possibilities for where they're carried!

Thanks. I could see some with large watches on, but one or two seemed to have no watch on either hands. I would think having it in the bib would be bouncing around and annoying.
