Good to see Bryn and P not at all outclassed by major quality fields and (judging by times and number of dnfs) what might have been a fairly tough race in Portugal: (sorry if this doesn't automatically become a link, I'm using an unfamiliar browser!)...

...and look who's back to continue terrorising elite women of the world!

and similar results (according to the magic WRE calculator) by Ross and Maja in Spain a week or so ago...

Strewth, Hanny's back!

Show Profile  addison Posted: 25 February 2009, 12:59 AM
Hannys back? Umm... more like Simone is back from having a baby!

For those that remember Maja Kunz, her and her husband Patrick lived in Hamilton about 5 years ago... Maja is now the Swiss Womens Elite coach. Could be worth schmoosing up to get her to bring her team to NZ ;-)

A swiss squad training camp in the central/northern north island in, lets see, early february (maybe sometime around the 6th) maybe? ;-)

Seriously though, I've got know idea how to go about it, but have always thought we could possibly get a lot out of promoting NZ as an off-season training venue for the top euros...

I think Simone would be scared if she saw that result from Hanny. At the moment it seems like she's terrorising Australian men.

Bigger, Stronger, Faster ???

Could there be a link here to Onemanfanclubs promo idea? I see gg (Gramham Griswood), Baptist Rollier along with a group of other top Swiss escaped the northern winter and headed off to South Africa's sunshine and altitude for 4 weeks of hard running training "in order to boost their shape". gg says on his blog he managed 540km of running.

Does anyone else think they don't put enough effort into their training?

Neil Northrop and Piret Klade were crowned Cliffhanger Ultrasprint winners 2009 and take home the top prize of a Garmin 310XT ... against the top orienteers in the country over a series of short, sharp qualifying rounds and finals. All courses are high intensity and incorporate sections of parkland, woodland and a specially constructed labyrinth.
