Misinformed fightin words tho, waterfront 5km races r on Tuesdays.
Bryn, I'm not using Attackpoint for the same reason I can't post my times in the spreadsheet: old computer programmes at work (which I use in my breaks).

nah not a big believer in benchmarks for times, unless you are talking about personal benchmarks to improve against (then we should all have them)....I am all for everyone getting faster!
There are plenty of very good mens and womens elites that wouldn't meet these times, to give two examples Neil and Penny, but they run relatively much faster over heinous terrain

17 mins for a man is equivalent to 20 mins for a woman, roughly.
I agree with Jamie on the benchmarks. I train for O. I just use road races as a time trial to see if my running has improved (not a good measure for O). It also helps with my pace judgement in O races.
The fitter I get the easier I find it to navigate tho!
