Here's a link to the Guardian Website, where Graham Gristwood gives a few tips on how to become the best at Orienteering (or more precise some ideas to use on the way to be the best you can be)
http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2008/nov/22/orienteering-tips-fitness
Happy Reading! Remember to enter Oceania and put the tips into use first thing in the new year!

I also saw this article on a model of orienteering technich by Klas Karlson - it seems usefull and it also has a link to a more comprehensive article on orienteering technique, that I didn't have time to read.....

I found the first a bit lightweight, but the second quite thought-provoking. The notion of "systematic orienteering" is very useful and I was grateful that O-Kansas had translated Karlson's article into English.
I would like to read the Swedish "Elite Plan" that O-Kansas refers to, especially as my limited Swedish indicates it goes all the way through from youth. But with my skills it would take me till Christmas to translate. I guess the "acting" Coaching Director doesn't have time to do this, but perhaps there is unspent money in the coaching budget that could pay someone else to translate it?

The google translator http://translate.google.com works pretty well from english to swedish. I use it quite extensivly here for work and to survive generally, given my complete lack of svenska. I havn't actually tried that document as it's a pdf might be a bit difficult.

...if the translation motor gets stuck on anything you can post it here and maybe Jenni, Carsten or I could help out.
