Have the men started? What's UKR doing with a time at radio 2?

Maybe that truck registered a time.

Anyone hear about Olav Lundanes getting chased by three wild dogs?..... the JWOC champion couldn't out run them, but eventually scared the off by yelling at the top of his lungs !!!!

Mariya Spasyuk (Ukraine) 32 1/2
and 7 places (17th to 10th)

I'll have her in my relay team any time!

Probably grabbed the tail of a passing dog

Show Profile  Paul I Posted: 25 August 2007, 12:49 PM
Yeah Nic. Sort of swapped places with the Brit.

The same dog that grabbed Mukhidinov's race number and ran off to the men's radio 2?

Counting down to the men's start, as much as I'm enjoying the battle between the Moldovanas and Kazaks, time to shift focus. 41 teams from memory. Maybe half a dozen that can pretty much be completely ignored, but still, what a field! If our guys can make 20th or better I'll be very impressed. Though if the pack sticks together as well as it did for the women, Ross'll be right in his element... and we know Rob J likes a fast forest - with a well-placed handover could be his chance to outshine some of the "middle tier" Europeans... I won't say any more before I put the mockers on, but I'm looking forward to this!

Wot about the battle between Wikitoria and Pavlina? She might get a street named after her..

Nope, US is going to prevail over Canada. Isn't there a mother and daughter Brautigam?

Nice coffee break. By all accounts I missed a great Mr. Bean on Holiday movie, where disaster was only one step away. In typical Bean Style of course!

I hope this is good last minute O training, haven't we got an OY on tomorrow?

Show Profile  Michael Posted: 25 August 2007, 1:18 PM
You mean Mr Bean was good training for O?

Now that you mention it, you may think that's what I meant. Feel free to try it.
What I am hoping for though, is that following all these orienteering stars run like the wind rubs off and makes us run well tommorrow.

Ross 17th but in the lead pack, which Gristwood looks to be trying to turn into a chase pack. GG's not a bad orienteer when sober!
