Adventure Run Register - an interactive database of great adventure runs

Ever gone away for business or moved to a new town and struggled to find a good off-road run? Well have we got a treat for you...The lads of Lactic Turkey Events present to you ....The Turkey Adventure Run Register.

This new section of our website allows you to choose a location from the map of New Zealand and see if there are any good off-road runs in the area. Select a run and you will be given the route details and some basic facts like approx. time, roughness, hilliness (a new turkey word) and length. The map is very easy to use and you can switch between road map style to satellite or a hybrid view of both.

This reference website will grow with your help. We've started with some runs but really want your help to populate it with all your favourite runs. Submit the details of your best off-road runs and we'll add it to the website! Thus building a huge and awesome resource for all adventure runners in New Zealand and visiting runners from overseas to use.

You can get to the website through www.lacticturkey.co.nz and clicking on the the Adventure Run Register link (under the right hand side turkey!).

And we also have the "Ask A Turkey" section of the website, which started a couple of months ago. This page provides a method for you to ask us a technical question - on anything to do with adventure sports like rogaine, mtb, multisport or adventure racing. We'll try to find an expert to provide an answer and post it on this web page. Over time this will develop into a great resource for all. Readers can even add their own take on the answer already posted on the site or provide further tips. As the questions build up we'll arrange an index so you can easily look at past questions/answers.

Please let us know if you have any further ideas for this site.

I added a run. How will you know where to add the run on your google map? Are you going to look it up on a map and work out the location?
Would it be easier to allow the person adding the run to enter coordinates for the run?

I am just using the directions for parking to know where the marker should be.

Could add a space for co-ordinates

We're trying to get this website to grow, but need your help to add some more runs.
