Moro Madness

Show Profile  SJ Posted: 6 May 2007, 2:07 PM
We had a reasonable turnout of orienteers yesterday at the Moro Madness Multi Lap Relay in Riverhead Forest with some great results! It was a wicked event and cheers to Phil and Shaun for organising it.

what i really want to know is who got the fastest time through the bouncy castle... i dropped a second by muffing the punch, as Bloomberg has pointed out.

Well looking at it purely unofficially and taking into consideration numerous unknown factors going on probability I would say that someone from the team of "DSQUAD Boys kinda: did the fastest time (with an outside chance of it being someone from "Barely Athletic". However Rolf should have access to the splits to tell us exactly which person it was.

im quietly confident....

The Bouncy Castle crown would sit nicely alongside my other NZ national title: National Sprint Finish Sprint Champion (more on this disgraceful situation in a moment)

But I'm jumping the gun... Jourdan and maybe Andrew also attempted and who knows how fast those Barely Athletic dudes were... I'd feel bad asking Rolf to dig up these (largely meaningless) splits when he already commits so much time to our sport.

BTW: i'll be 33 years old at nationals 2008 and if one of you young fullas can't beat this jaded old hack in the sprint finish sprint you may as well give up running completely cos theres obviously something wrong with your legs. golf might be more appropriate for you, or fishing. maybe horse riding. maybe flying those little remote control planes... basically, if you're under 25 you should be able to out sprint me, so... i'm calling you out. RUN, DAMN YOU!

pfft its all about the long finish split.. thats a true test of speed.

Show Profile  Dave Posted: 12 May 2007, 9:52 AM
I'd just like to say I won every finish split at Oringen 2001
Damn close to the perfect navigation on those splits...

Yes but was it Jourdan or Nick that won, that is the question. We need to know which order the DSQUAD Boys kinda times came in.
