Teams will face a new choice in this year's Safari - the harbour ferry! This makes 4 modes of public transport, alongside bus, train and cablecar.
The event is on Sunday 20 May. Entry forms available soon on www.citysafari.org.nz

Entry form now available on the website. New family category. Selected NZ and world champions in various relevant disciplines have been given special invitations.

A record entry with a week to go. Some of the world champions are still chasing world championships, and Peter Snell arrives in Wgtn a day too late, but we have a worthy champion. Yvette Baker (WOC Middle 1999) will take part with Olaf (3) and Rachel (1).

Winds gusting 100kph prevented the ferry from putting in at Seatoun today, but there were plenty of buses, trains and cablecars running. Jill Westenra and Al Cross won back the 6hr City Safari title today, ahead of Bill Edwards and Tim Wilson and another 50 teams. Amazingly John Robertson and 12-year-old Tim beat 90 other teams in the 3hr category.
