Paul how do we know that the 'world champion' won't come out of a school team, when they get hooked on orienteering by being part of what sounds as if it could add some excitment to the schools competion and get them to attend more non-school.

Any competition that produces well rounded and positive orienteers is all good

Good point Greg. But I think the series had to have an aim it should be about improving competition. Of course there are flow on benefits of this.

Why not let those people who are no longer at school but still able to run m/w18 run at the nssoc (perhaps after the rest of the field)but their result only count towards the junior super series, this would mean that they wouldn't miss out on any events.
