Hi!
I'm a 22 year old swedish girl who have plans to go to Auckland to study next semester. I would really like to be in contact with anyone in Auckland or the surroundings who's an orienteerer. Please mail to me!!
I will study at Uni of Auckland so if you do that to it would be great but it's not important. Boy or girl doesn't matter either!

Hello Anna
Firstly let me apologise on behalf of all orienteers for that tactless remark by Mrs Ruth Dyson, or Stu Barr as he is otherwise known. As you are coming to Auckland and he lives in Wellington, you may never have to meet him. That could be a good thing.
There are many orienteers who live in Auckland and we are well known for looking after our visitors. Personally, I had Tore Sandvik live with me for six months and he would not be where he is today without my influence. Not that I want to name drop or anything. But Tore arrived here a boy, and left as a man.
Fortunately or unfortunately for you most young and good orienteers here are male and single. The young and good females have left, or perhaps more correctly have been driven away. The few young and good female orienteers left have big, strong boyfriends (such as Phil Wood, Clem Larsen and Darren Ashmore) to protect them.
So beware anyone replying to you with the name Brent Edwards, Fraser Mills, Jamie Stewart or Neil Kerrison. They are just after your photograph.
Seriously, you will find Auckland a nice place to live and orienteer. If you want some details before you arrive, email me at robc@voyager.co.nz
