Is anyone running Ocad on iOS? Any advice for how to do it?

Hey thomasr,

I don't have a Mac or iPhone - and hopefully someone who has already done it can help.

Do you want to run the full version to do map editing or just have a OCAD file viewer on an iphone? I see there is a viewer for iphone but I suspect you will want the full version on your laptop.

If thats the case you are likely looking for help either 1. setting up a virtual machine to run within iOS or 2. to be able to switch between booting iOS and Windows on your computer (using BootCamp).

I know developers often run virtual machines of different or the same OS to allow for testing or to use an application from another OS. I think Rudy has used OCAD within Linux.

I haven't tested, but Google search suggests:

This is also confirmed on the OCAD wiki

Pretty sure there's not really an easy way to truly run OCAD on and iOS device. You can get software for your iPad or iPhone or whatever to run apps straight from your Mac or PC (google Parallels Access) but they are not really ideal, and would require internet connection I would imagine. :'(

Opps. My mistake. Thanks Tommy.

Is ghettocad of any use? Looks like development may have stopped and limited to OCad 8 files?
